Working in a H&T store Most of our stores open at 9am but all staff tend to arrive around 8.30am to get set up for the busy day ahead. Our Stores close at 5pm or 5.30pm, trading Monday to Saturday. The first task of the day usually to ensure the jewellery is displayed in the window attractively and that the store is clean and tidy to receive the first customers of the day.



A variety of tasks Stores have, on average, 3 to 4 staff depending on the size of the unit and the number of customers. We believe in involving all staff in different tasks as it encourages good team work and a full understanding of how a store operates from your first day in the Company.

Each day is always different During the day you will be serving a variety of customers through a variety of services. Members of store teams often comment that the reason they enjoy their jobs so much is due to the variation in tasks and the fact that each day is always different – boredom and repetition are not two words used by our people!

As a result of providing a number of services to our customers it means that our people do require extensive training. Good Pawnbroking skills take time to develop but you will be trained on the job from day one to enable you to hone these skills.
